Building Sisterhood
Our team had initiated a project that gave beneficiaries basic beading skills. However the project became unsustainable due to funds.
In 2017 we started a project whereby the beneficiaries created accessories from plastic bottles (waste) covering the cut bottles with fabric. Most of the beneficiaries have an interest in the beauty, media, entertainment, fashion and catering industry.
They want skills in the following fields:
Dress making
Hairdressing
Nail technician
Massage
Make –Up Artistry
Baking
Photography and presenting
The beneficiaries love the idea of them taking part in photo-shoots as it boosts their confidence. Our team spends time developing their communication skills, therefore building their confidence.
